I'm locking this thread long enough to delete the paintball discussion and then unlock the thread again.
Whatever the reality of the case is, the LCS is not going to be playing paintball, so it seriously doesn't matter and isn't relevant to the topic.
Edit: Done deleting. Let's try to avoid large, hostile fonts in future discussions to come.
Well, the maximum possible popularity for the LCS is dependent upon the liberalism of the general populace. Maybe you've got it backwards.
Maybe. I just saw an 'attitude' and a VIEWNUM there. Take a look at this code.
I need to comment my code.
case LAW_ELECTIONS:
case LAW_RELIGION:
default: //eg. -1
{
int average=0;
// Total the public opinion on all issues except the crime squad related
// For each element of public opinion...
for(int v=0;v<VIEWNUM;v++)
{
// Skipping crime squad related...
if(v==VIEW_LIBERALCRIMESQUAD)continue;
if(v==VIEW_LIBERALCRIMESQUADPOS)continue;
// bug: also add "if(v==VIEW_CONSERVATIVECRIMESQUAD)continue;"
// Count the amount of liberalism on this issue
average+=attitude[v];
}
// Divide the total liberalism by the number of issues we just counted
// in order to take an average across these issues
average/=(VIEWNUM-3);
// Return the average liberalism
return average;
}
That's actually a bit more commenting than I would do, but it should help for explaining why those lines are there.
For further reading into the non-intuitive bits in the code here, you might look into
for loops and the
continue statement.
