Auto-use levers
« on: May 06, 2009, 12:51:31 pm »

These would be levers that dwarves would pull on certain occasions.

There could be a Lever that would be pulled by any dwarf who passes it in a certain direction, needs to get to a certain place, if they don't like the song that's playing, or if there's a seige of gobbos.

Then, you could have Dwarves pulling levers to execute the members of a dwarven band. :D

Or try FUBAR! The best chocolate bar ever!
And you can't eat them, either, sadly. Even though it'd make sieges so much more fun; dwarves lining the walls, drooling and carrying sharp knives and forks, ready for the upcoming meals.

Something similar along these lines. Allow floodgates, bridges, etc to be marked as say always down for collision detection purposes. Then when a dwarf steps on a pressure plate while heading towards it, it goes down, and then goes up again when they hit another on the other side. Although this might make for some rather funny sights - like bridges not going down fast enough and dwarves plunging to their deaths.
