My god, its full of dwarfiness.

Is that in response to those pretty sliders I shamelessly stole from the DF trading interface? ;)

Maybe George Bush isn't the best outgoing president, but I think it would be humorous to put a real conservative's name there.

Suggestions:
Dick Cheney
Robert Norquist
David Vitter
Ted Stevens
Ron Paul
Duncan Hunter
Tam Tancredo
Alan Keyes
Mark Sanford
Michael Steel
Chuck Baldwin

This is an extremely petty concern, but since the game is set in 2009, is there any chance that we can get rid of that advert for the 1999 Lexus that appears in the in-game newspapers? It's starting to look a little dated. Either that, or it's the shittiest car on wheels considering that it's been advertised on the front pages of newspapers nationwide and still hasn't been sold.

Well, it -is- supposed to be a used car. I'll just switch its year to 2005, since that would make the price about right for that car.

Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

I say get rid of "In this dark Alternate Reality the LCS is born."

Alternate Reality sounds too serious.

Does it? I'm rather fond of that line. I think it helps set aside moral reservations about the game by emphasizing its distance from reality. But like I said in another thread, I'm the kind of guy that almost cries watching Lacrosse...

I was thinking something like,

"In this dark time, a single Liberal decides to fight the power..."

Except better. Honestly, anybody who has moral reservations about playing a saitire game is probably too young to play it. Besides, it's not like LCS is a mega-popular game being advertised on TV.

Saying the words "alternate reality" breaks the spell. Alternate universe is already implied strongly by the randomized president names.

The dark Alternate Reality bit is fine with me. As for George Bush, maybe you can choose at the start of the game to have him as the current president or otherwise have him be pretty important somehow as an extra challenge. Personally, I'd find it fun if you could fight him.

I argue against the 'alternate reality' mention too.  I think the humor of the game is in not taking it seriously, versus how seriously the game takes itself, if that makes any sense.

Need I suggest randomization again?  Throw in a few car brands and a year generator and bam.

We need more liberal puns!

Throw the words "Liberal" and "Conservative" as required.

Example: Instead of calling something "General summery" call it "Liberal summery"

Yeah, LCS isn't an insurgency simulator.
