What is the proper settings for "dungeon master"
« on: May 04, 2009, 02:18:57 pm »

Small goof with Dwarf Manager, and I'd like to keep the game close to original settings.

This raises the question of what the original intent that created the goof was.

(edit the subject of this thread)

I take it you loaded to DF and it created some headaches? Perhaps in the names of professions?

Yep.

Go back to DF, and do it all manually - then load from DF to DManager, and you should be set.

It's easy (for me, anyway) to forget to write to DF after changing DManager. I get into the habit of "load from DF" before making any real changes, so I'm sure I'm looking at reality and not a wishlist from my last (never-uploaded) changes, and that it includes any in-game changes I made the standard way.

I'd assume he was setting jobs for lots of dwarves and accidentally included the DM for jobs he was basically assigning to everyone. I've done this once or twice with children and nobles, and got a wee bit confused when I saw children working in the carpenter's workshop and stuff of that nature :D

DM's active jobs are: Animal Training, Animal Care, Armorsmithing, Furnace Operating, Metalcrafting, Blacksmithing and Weaponsmithing. Nothing else.

There are three things I know about dwarves:
1. They've got beards. Even the women.
2. They're short. Especially the women.
3. They're Scottish.

You got it in one.

Shame he can't go Fae in weaponsmithing...
