Since I pretend that the coffins I put in the nobles rooms cause him horrid dreams, I'm really hoping this WILL allow hauntings and such.

Easy enough to add souls.  Mod the "humanoid" body shape to include a "soul" in the upper torso, and make it mandatory for living(or not).

Then you'll see your dwarves with injured and destroyed souls.

Do something similar to the new version.  Optionally, store it inside the heart or between the lungs.

it would be interesting to add something like an internal organ and name it a "soul".

the hard part would be making it appear every time something died....although it would be quite pleasant to rip out an elf's soul and beat his body to death with it.

I tried to mod it so that when a creature died it would drop a soul but if I did that there was no corpse. I was going to have the soul be smelted with a bar of steel to make a stronger metal and stuff like that.

Would it be possible to mod it so that souls, a part of the body, can only be damaged by certain attacks?

Have spectral undead who rip at your dwarfish souls.
