Oh, a quick note:

The door connected to the resevoir which has a tunnel leading to our staircase poses a flooding risk and I don't see its purpose.

I move that a wall be added to wall off the reservoir from our staircase, unless it serves some purpose I'm not aware of. This can easily be done by adding the wall flush with the door that already exists, and keeping the door locked, which it, I pray to the gods, already is. That way no Dwarves will wall themselves into the tunnel.

I used a door in case of future situations where we might need to access the reservoir easily. The door is certainly locked, as the other to the east is, and neither are pet passable. As far as I'm aware, a locked door will never be opened, thus I figured it safe. If there is some danger, then certainly, I second this motion.

I thought I should make this clear, for anyone reading the thread: There are currently four free dwarves in the fort, which may be taken by anyone who wishes to join in our little democracy.

Would anyone like to take the fort in Winter, incidentally? I'm not sure this matter has been raised. I figure it ought to be.

In terms of fortress matters, it's less of a goal for this season, but in the future, once our tower is built and possibly a second level of wall added on, I should like to have a guard rotation at the main gate, to keep an eye out for thieves and suchlike. It might also be an idea to chain an animal, most probably a war dog, at the entrance, to catch any intruders. I motion this.

I can change my movement ter reflect only enough picks fer those Dwarves who can take 'em, as well. Just keep in mind that we'll 'ave more immigrants e'ry season."

(Fig 14.1)

Grail sat in the dining room, her knife in a brutal reverse grip, being stabbed into the cold plump helmet mushrooms of her dinner. Legs crossed and on the table, her grimy mining boots spoiling the place where all the Dwarves ate, she rested her wax board across her thighs and thoughtfully etched in additions to her plans as she ate.

They were grandiose, of course, complete with a costly ramp to go over the gearshaft, but it was the first to scale diagram of possible improvements to their topside fortifications. She had included wiggle room to allow the well to be dismantled and set up below, or to allow it to remain, since it had been a subject of such debate the season before.

She lanced another plump helmet and closed her teeth onto the blade, scraping the steak-like mushroom off of the dirty implement. That would be enough for today. She threw her legs off the side of the table to the ground, got up, and walked off, leaving the eye spawn of the mushroom behind, along with the mud and dust of her shoes.

One of the migrants was a mason, I'm sure you could have her. The original thoughts seemed to be a first-come, first-served basis, so I think I'll take this as an opportunity to welcome you to Equalvoice. =]

edit: never mind I read the page. I vote for the finishing of walls/moat against the breeding of cats and animals for the chaining of war dogs for the construction of a waterwheel and am indifferent to the rest.

What are the issues at hand?

There is an updated list towards the end of page 13 of this thread.

However, there are still 2 and a half hours left in which to propose new motions.
