I wouldnt be to hung up on that balrog.

Point is... you're gonna dig too deep and you won't like what you find. That's what it all is about!

its-a gonna be a leader, with balrog-lings as defenders, you WILL be royally screwed if the pits open, they will be killable, but itll be really hard.

(ill need someone to make me some sprited when done)

Make cave goblins as defenders.  Make them tiny.

If you're going for it: Cave goblin spawn density needs to be absurd -- also needs them able to breed, producing copious quantities of offspring.

I would love to have the exteme cliffs (going from ocean 100 to mountain 400). Sand, underground river, and magma pipe would also be great too. I tried to do mountains by flatland, but 100 is the greatest extreme I can generate.

actually, the swarming thing is something i was going to do with a critter on my pack, they were going to be called "twitchers" and were also going to be really, really fast.

but ill still do some type of spawn in this.

this is going to be cool, postponing all my other plans.

this may take a little while though, as im needing to make them PERFECT.

Here's the question nobody's mentioned yet - does the Balrog have wings?
As in, will it be able to fly?

Also - if one were to gen the world you gave specs for, where's the embark point?

While I have seen so many discussions on this, Tolkien was very clear, balrogs had wings of shadow, which I'm pretty sure doesn't mean real wings.
