Revised version now available
This is a version of the Extended version above.
Changes:
- Issue with magic cloth fixed.
- Added new minerals, and a new metal. Look for a peat-rich location.
- Tweaked stats on the More-Oh monsters, added three size variants, including a semimega version.
- Made the More-Oh mod optional. It always was, but now it's official! :)

Download revised version from DFFD.

Installation of the revised version:
  • Unzip into vanilla DF folder (may be incompatible with other mods unless manually written in)
  • Run "clean_data_objects.bat" or manually delete files from the "data/objects" directory.
  • If "Dr.More-Oh's Zoo" mod is required, manually copy the "creature_awfulman.txt" file from the "raw" folder into the "raw/objects" folder.

Enjoy it. But due to changes, save compat has been mercilessly broken from the previous version.

Oh well. Since nobody will submit bug reports, I'll start one.

Despite modbase-modified plants and fiery cloth no longer being available to the population, I still managed to see someone wearing a Fiery Rope Reed Crown - namely, a town's priest. But at least I was thus able to determine that the new cloth properties work properly - the crown was burning, and the priest was trailing clouds of smoke, but he received no wounds and no other objects of his caught fire. So now, if you feel sufficiently badass, you can obtain and wear burning pants without serious implications.

Unless it is hardcoded to just burn instead of taking heat damage, then no. Its heatdam_point, melting_point and boiling_point is higher than its ignite_point, which is in turn lower than average air temperature (10050).

A woodcutter migrant showed up with a pick.  The next woodcutter migrant showed up with an axe.  Doubt its a bug on your end though.

It could be a misread on your part. There's a "war pick" axe in the mod.

That may have been it.  He didn't seem to want to  cut wood with it though.  Is it one of those weapons that you have to mess with the 1-2 hand settings to get civilians to use?

No, it should be a pretty straightforward weapon. And I'm not sure if not cutting wood is intended game behavior or not, but it could be, because unlike the other axes, this one deals pierce damage.

Is this installable ontop of the Mayday Graphics Pack? That is to say, will it mess up anything there, or is it likely to be fine?

Given that Mayday's pack wouldn't contain any images for the new creatures, I'd say no.
I'd also say no because Mayday's stuff isn't DF proper in the first place.

Never tried. This completely overwrites most of the basic raws, so if the pack modifies any creatures, entities, or materials, it won't be compatible.
