Re: Let's Play Final Fantasy I - Chapter 1 - Marsh Cave!

The whole "Let's Play" concept is starting to catch on in Forum Games and Roleplaying, so i guess i may make one with one of my favorite games.

As much as I like the NES version, I'm going to do this with the Dawn of Souls remake for GBA, for ease of playability.

Anywho, on with it. We need a party with four characters. There are six classes to choose from:

Warrior - Standard armor-using, swords-wielding fighter. Becomes a Knight after class change, which can use a small amount of White Magic.
Thief - A roguish character, also combat oriented. Becomes a Ninja after class change, which can use a small amount of Black Magic.
Monk - A martial artist adept at fighting opponents with his bare hands. Becomes a Master after class change.
White Mage - Specializes in restorative white magic. Becomes a White Wizard after class change, which can use more powerful spells.
Black Mage - Specializes in offensive black magic. Becomes a Black Wizard after class change, which can use more powerful spells.
Red Mage - A jack of all trades, the Red Mage is an adept fighter, White Mage, and Black Mage all in one! He cannot use as good armor and weapons as the other martial classes,  or as powerful magic as his black and white counterparts.

I recommend having atleast one white magic user and atleast one black magic user.

Current characters

Choose.

4 White Mages?

It'll never work!

And I expect the 8-Bit references to be rampant.

Healbots will have to wait, we got ourselves a party! (No, not the festive kind.)

I will start to work on the first steps of the game now... please wait.

We have a nice, balanced party now.

And a way back when, I downloaded a save file for a FFI rom that had me at the last dungeon with a single lvl 50 white mage and nothing else.

Bleh. I'm good with just spending 50 gil out of my allotted 125.

...Are we each given money equally or how does that work? And do we have 400 gil or 500?
