If he really means it, just ignore him.  Posts that do not adhere to the three guidelines in the OP should be treated as invisible.

That statement is still under the blasphemy of doubting the holy sprit.

huh?

Doubting the holy sprit, in matter means damnation and is unforgivable. As in if you now believe in JC, if you once doubted before or after, your screwed.

It says you need constant unwavering trust and faith in JC. And that fucking super human feet right their.

Its true, if I remember correctly there was one most unforgivable sin, I think it was something along the lines of: if you defy the lords requests outright he will damn you regardless of your lifestyle.

Or was it something else? Im pretty sure its something about defying and doubting or something like that.

Huh.  I always heard that was a poor interpretation, and that you were hosed if you doubted that the holy spirit had the power to save you or reverse your sin or something.  Which made sense, I mean, if you don't believe you can be helped, no one's going to force it on you.  I thought people just took that idea and ran way past the goal, into the stands, and over the wall with it.

The blasphemy challenges does. Though it goal wasn't to enlighten on the bible, as much as make a  declaration of atheism. Help foster those in the closet to be open with it.

The only way to heaven, in the christian bible, is to believe JC is saviour.  The "unforgivable sin", by definition, would be to not believe.  Calling it the unforgivable sin is somewhat illogical and redundant.  Basicly, either you do or you dont, either you iz or you aint.  Also, not accepting JC as saviour does not damn someone, since everyone is allready damned and the only way out is JC.

this is all my own opinion of course, but it comes from more than 8 years of direct, schooled, study of the bible, plus my own life experiences and learning over the 21 years of life I have had after the schooling was over.

lol, just reread Sowelu's last post, he summed it up pretty well for me:

I already laid out the unforgivable sin in an earlier post. Someone can find it if they want to.

How convenient, eh? That in and of itself is a red flag the size of Texas, nevermind any of the other nonsense in the doctrines. ;D

Seriously. This reminds me of religions trying to pull a dick move on you being part of them.

In Judaism for example, if your mom is a Jew, so are you.

Problem is, my mom is not really a Jew herself. She's more of an Agnostic. But HER mom, my grandmother (R.I.P.) WAS a Jew.

This pulls the dick move by defaulting me as a Jew. Oh yeah. Real fair.

[sarcasm]Hey! I'm gonna start a religion! I'll call it Nonsensetheism! If you have an X chromosome, you're a Nonsensetheist![/sarcasm]

In support of intolerance
« Reply #74 on: May 06, 2009, 03:44:04 pm »

I'm all for tolerance, in its place.  However, in my opinion, unconditional tolerance is probably a bad thing.

I feel that the importance of INtolerance, properly applied, cannot be underestimated.  LegoLord, would it be appropriate to discuss situations in which intolerance is necessary or appropriate, or should that stuff be left out of this topic?
