Not that I'm against boobies... But... Why just boobies? Horribly discriminating? Where are the penises? Where are the vaginas? Where are the... Whatever the hell there's more...

There's a few. He uses a surprising number of discretion cuts, so I think he just likes drawing boobies. Besides, it's hard to draw genitalia, so he may be simply trying to avoid overstepping his skill.

Eh. There's boobs, yes, but it's not like it's the focus of the images. As a girl, I'm not bothered by it. Now if the site was all "OMFG TITTIES", I'd be more upset.

Yeah, IMO the nudity is tastefully done, and is used within context, to further the story.

I've also noticed that Rich Morris doesn't jump on various opportunities to add gratuitous content to the strip, so all in all, I'd say that it's very well done, and not pornographic, to the point where the heavy sprinkling of nudity actually adds something (maturity, and a certain boldness) to the quality of the strip, rather than taking away from it.

It's also very good *as* a comic strip, so the nudity isn't covering for any creative deficits that I can find.

What are you guys talking about? The strip has a very healthy attitude towards sexuality! The nudity fits the setting and the tone very well, is never pornographic or juvenile, but it is also not pretentious. Most importantly, it's never demeaning -- on the contrary, it puts the female characters on a pedestal, in my opinion... Just good, well-spirited fun. I find it extremely strange that anyone even could be slightly offended by this. A women breast-feeding a baby probably would also enrage such people... But let's not get into that.

I really feel it all comes together perfectly in that comic; the whole "feel" of it is just so... sympathetic. It reads like the storyboard of an AWESOME fantasy cartoon or movie, which will never be made... The fact that the author is a professional storyboard author probably helps. The drawing style is also very good - which is rare in online comics - although I have to admit it sometimes tends to be too "Disney-ish" (the chimera, for example). The longer stories are really well done, and the jokes are usually pretty nice as well... The characters are well fleshed out and very likeable... And to think this guy makes these sketches in his coffee break at work (!) Oh, and did I mention there is a new strip EVERY DAY (and he has kept this up for over two years!)

Yeah, it's pretty much my favorite online comic.

Be sure to check out their forum. There is a book containing the first few story-arcs in the making...

Ah, @ yanlin: lol at putting breasts on the same level as genitalia, heh...

As far as it having a healthy sense of sexuality, I think that's what a lot of us, atleast, are saying. Certainly, it's my view on the comic (And it's also my view that yes, sex *is* healthy, and good and decent and moral--all that stuff.).

I don't agree about the "Disney-fication" of some of the art being a bad thing. I have a lot of respect, as an artist, for Disney, especially their quality standards (atleast-or especially-as concerns their magnificent body of early classics), but also their style, atleast to a point. Yes, it's obviously cartooney, but it's also robust, and expressive to a high degree.

So to me, yeah it's a little bit of a double-edged sword, but here it's done well.

After reading up to and through that whole pirate thing, I stopped.

It isn't that I object to nudity, but it's pretty obvious that the author uses his comic to play out sex fantasies. It's sort of shameful.

Pretty disappointing, too. That dragon head on the chimera is adorable, and so is that little kobold pirate guy. A lot of things in there are adorable.

If that comic didn't have all the gratuitous sexual content, I'd be lavishing it with praise.

I haven't gotten that far, yet. I'm only on strip 161.

Umm... Shameful? That's a pretty strong word. I don't find the sexual content to be gratuitous -- of course, if by "sexual content" you mean pictures of breasts  ::) Playing out sexual fantasies? Sheesh, the act of sex is only implied, and is never overused, not is it revelled in by the author. It all fits into the storylines well, and it's not that blatant to begin with. I mean come on...  ::)

By blind I mean crazy dogmatic papists with a moral mindset stuck around 1500.
Infuriatingly rigid and controlling. I could honestly rant all night.
I don't have a problem with all the boobs. It's probably no worse than the D&D creature book or whatever.
