When I T out of town I look one tile south, and there's what looks like metal bars on the map.
Being a curious guy, I decide to venture to the metal bars.



Should I do the humane thing and put them down?

Sadly, after attacking one they all fled the scene, causing me to fruitlessly chase them across the desert.

The explaination here is that they are either one giant migrant group or two refugees.

Now that you attacked the entire group has become hundreds of tinyer groups, that will eventually settle down and create new elf cities.

He's proved that there are too many elves.  The overpopulation is hurting the environment, so elf hunting season is being extended to three seasons instead of none.

Also, I ran into ANOTHER large group, this one had a different icon to signify it's size, if I remember correctly it looked like a bunch of dots, but I wasn't paying as much attention.
So I'm going to guess:
Single Line > Lotsa Dots > Metal Bars symbol.

 I believe the single line is below multiple lines, as I have never seen a group that large and I have only been with single and double-line groups.

 Also, savescum, change elves to burst into flames and do that again.

Also, if I ever run into a group like that again, I will DEFINITELY make sure to do that. hahaha

Don't forget to add severonbreaks.  That will release the elves' true forms as evil, destructive enemies of biology, and wipe 'em out more completely while yer at it.

Kill some hummies, gobs and stumps?  Gotta make sure the world knows you got enough love to spread around for em too.

Generally, I like waging war against the Goblins.

But I'm find most of my warband's efforts are in taking on the Orcs right now, so any of that old genocide I've had is sort of fleeing rapidly in favor of keeping the Humans around for refits, and the Dwarves around for stead fast fighters.

Waging war on an enemy far stronger then yourselves is fun.
