isreal is not necessarily against homosexuals

the city Tel Aviv is argued to have a homosexuality rate that lies between 30-40%, and is internationaly known as the "pink city"

at least the modern cities there are very tolerant

I hate to say this, but that's just one city. It's about the only city that tolerates homosexuality.

Over here, only the most reasonable people tolerate it. Ditto with atheism. In fact, just being not Jewish will get you some serious stigma.

I have a friend who lives in Israel. He was not that long ago speaking to gangs that attack those that don't obey the sabbath, as they work on the sabbath.

He got into a fight with his dad, as he was caught speaking english fairly late at night. That was so bizarre to be witness to.

It seems tough, I can't really relate its to far removed from myself. I sympathize though.

I have a friend who has the worst mother ever. She is highly stupid and religious. She says she will disown him if he leaves the country.
