I regret to say I am not a geek. Just a nerd.

Heh, it just occured to me...

I still program stuff in BASIC once in a while. They tought us PASCAL (is that one even capitalized?) and C++ in school, but you know, with 12 you're already "an old horse" that doesnt learn any new tricks. So I'm stuck with basic.
I really love maths, even though my brain got a bit rusty. I actually miss math classes to keep my mind sharp.
I love to watch and read old, cheap sci fi. "Old" as in 1970 and older. I collect sci fi short stories from that era, because there you will find the most trippy stuff.
I can talk for hours without end about the pledge algorithm or dunbars number.
You can find me in the audience of the "gameboy music club" on a regular basis.
Of course I tried (and sometimes even succeeded) to install linux on several things that have a CPU.

And you know what the best part of it all is?

I still get a comparatively large amount of booty! Whoddathunk! Seriously, I'm stumped meself, everytime a girl thinks I'm one of the sporty cool types, and no way of rabbling will convince her that I'm actually a spotfaced geek, deep inside. I think it might be the alcohol and the hormones.

But I aint complaining.

Being geeks and nerds, you all know that the only way to determine our specific individual nerdiness is with empirical, unsubstantiated tests found at random on the Internet.

WEB QUIZ OFF

On this test found with Google, I got Supreme Nerd (9% higher, 1% same, 90% lower).

As proof of my nerdiness, as I was taking it I was constantly question how I would have worded and weighted the answers were I writing it.

Dude, if you haven't noticed, geeks are the new jocks.

Heh, I scored higher than 91%, lower than 9% in that nerd test.

Hehe. But I'm old, I was talking about the time when jocks were jocks and geeks were geeks :P

Nowadays I guess I look jocky and talk nerdy. Damn this is confusing.

Anyways, I think I can explain the booty with my nerdtest score:
Quote
Somewhat nerdy. I mean face it, you are nerdier than about half the test takers.
Leaves room for maneuvering in whatever direction is favourable  ;D

Make sure you take the follow-up Nerd Test 2, for a categorical breakdown.

Science/Math: 17% higher, 3% same, 80% lower.
Computers/Technology: 13% higher, 3% same, 84% lower.
Sci-Fi/Comic: 8% higher, 2% same, 90% lower.
Dumb/Dork/Awkwardness: 61% higher, 13% same, 26% lower.

Title: Cool King Nerd

I once again have doubts about the weighting.

Nerdtest 2.0 gave me a really high rating on being dumb/dorky/awkward  ;D

Now that my self consciousness is utterly destroyed by some random test on the internet, I think I have to make sure to do something manly.

First, I'm going to shave, using my shaving knife, while listening to rock music on my first gen Ipod. I should make sure this doesnt end up in me singing along to Toto or the girl part of any given sexist ragga tune (again). Also, no shaving-foam-bras!

Then I'll go out to ride my bike in a reckless manner, thinking derogatory things about every hot girl I pass (maybe giving the occasional whistle). But all is lost anyways, since when I arrive at the club, I'll probably sit down with a glass of beer and a piece of paper and then I'll try to sketch down the industry branch of my fortress.

23% scored higher.

1% scored the same

76% scored lower.

"Mid-Level Nerd. Wow, it takes a lot of hard nerdy practice to reach this level."

Yeah... Maybe I'm not as nerdy as I thought.

I program in assembler, am considering making my own operating system in it, and freuently find it more intuitive than natural language.
I do not have enough social skills to play DnD properly, but try anyway, resulting in numerous insane chars being NPC'd.
I consider my computer more to be a pert of myself than I consider my legs to be so.
I have read all of xkcd, and I think there was maybe 3 jokes I didn't IMMEDIATELY understand.
If someone asks me were I'm from, my response is "the internet".
Last time I saw anything were... dunno, years ago? nowadays my eyes are to busy analysing things instead.
I considers computers a superior form of entity than humans. No, not the hypothetical future ones, the kind you have in front of you right now.
Once recently when I was forced to use Internet Explorer, it took me a long while to overcome my feelings of committing heresy and treason before I could.

I've gone so far above pi, that I think that people who calculate pi to the last digit are like kids who think they're smart because they can read from A-Z.

I'm such a large geek that jokes like this make me fume with rage.  Obey the laws of mathematics, jerkwad!

X / 0 = infinity.

Infinity * x = infinity.

0 * infinity = 0.

Infinity / 0 = infinity.

0 / infinity = 0.

X / infinity = infinity.

Nah... this isn't as bad.  Your comments are too silly to be an affront to math.

2 + 2 ≈ 5 for certain non-represented non-integer values of 2

0.(9) = 1
