To make it aware that I listen to the advice of my fellow survivors and that I'm still here.

Once again, Strife is the voice of reason.

So is it too late to challenge the validity of that girl being on the jury?

I'll write a dramatic speech tomorrow. I swear.

Wow. Maybe I shouldn't post and let this whole conversation continue. Scratch that, I'll change my Subject Title to "Off Topic Conversation, the RPG"!

Ok, point made. Now, to explain whats happening for Inaluct in my own words. It starts when you meet and club Sam. You flee the scene to avoid "!The Horde!" of "Zombie!"s. Along the way, you come upon a half eaten body with a 'Bloody Knife', which you take. You continue fleeing, and reach the Mall wearing that 'Large Hooded Jacket' you took off Sam. Jessie (who is the sheriff of the Mall) thinks your Sam at first but finds out your actually a impostor. Infuriated, she has you searched and discovers the murder weapon (Sam was complaining of being stabbed before, by a bastard). She clubs you in the face, you awake in Prison Cell, you have deal arranged to get a  competent Defender (lawyer), you attend trial. Strings are pulled, so Jessie ends up on the Jury though the jury only has two votes. Each Council Member (old wise men/woman) has a single vote which I coin flip for.

You win if you have more votes for you than against you. So, what is your statement imported viewer?

1. Can I argue Jessie off of the jury?

2. Did we actually lie to her and say that we were Sam?

No, we NEVER said we were Sam. We didn't say ANYTHING actually.

This is what I think we should do;
Say that we found the knife along with a half eaten body at X. X is a date that we weren't in contact with anyone in the courtroom.

We'll say that we found the jacket clutched in the hands of a solitary wandering zombie with fresh blood around it's mouth at a date after when we murdered Sam (beating him unconscious and running while there are zombies coming is either murder or manslaughter, since we were directly responsible for him getting killed).

When we came to the mall, Jessie mistook us for Sam. We thought she was coming onto us were confused and didn't know that she had mistaken us for somebody. Only later did we learn that a man had been murdered, and that this jacket belonged to him.

And then we'll ask for the victim's body to be examined, as we suspect that he was killed by zombies, since we found the jacket being carried by one.

Does any of this conflict with what the court knows or could know?

It was mentioned that Jessie had lead a team to look for his body, and 'found' it, but I also suspect that they didn't. Sam Tarlew is either wandered off as a undead blending into a horde of undead, or Sam Tarlew is completely and utterly devoured.

Now before you say he's a zombie now, there was a horde eating him, that much we know. Therefore, its VERY plausible that with the mauling he received when he was surrounded was quite enough to near completely eat him.

At anyrate, it would be even better news if he HAD wandered off as a zombie. It supports that they didn't find his body.

But if they just ate him, then it at least means that they couldn't exactly say whatever pile of broken bones and bloody limbs they found was Sam.

Other then that, I'd say read back to right when we were caught, then to where the guard is talking to us in the cell, as he says some important things, and then to what the Council member says.

Besides that, I say we dispute Jessie's right to be on said jury.

Hmm. This means that they don't even have any physical evidence on us. You'd have to be black and in Amarillo, Texas to be convicted on this.

Anyway,  I'll read back.
