Careful people, you build the story up and you'll end up disappointed when I can't provide it. Maybe some variation of motorbike chase, being chased by zombies ON FIRE.
They would kill us. No douts about it, it's just a matter of time if we are found guilty.
Plead not guilty. We found the knife on a dead guy and Sam was already dead.

You Are Woken by a "Mall Guard". He Stares at You as You Wake, and Slides a Meal Through a Slot in the Bars.
"Your trial begins shortly, prisoner. All preparations have been made" he Tells You, Nodding to the Human Prisoners Prison Cell.
"Now we only need to wait on you. Hurry it up in there, and don't forget your part of the deal either. You owe Kyle your life, remember. That is, if you survive the trial".
Behind the "Mall Guard" is Another Human, Who Tells You that he is your Appointed Defender. You Tell him that You had Found Sam Dead, and When You Were Fleeing the "!Horde of Zombies!" You Stumbled Upon Another Dead Man Who was Carrying the 'Bloody Knife' that You Found. He Records your Statement, then Leaves You to your Meal.
You Eat your Meal, and Feel Nourished. You are No Longer Hungry. The "Mall Guard" Motions You to the Back of the Prison Cell with Hands Behind You. You Obey, and the "Mall Guard" Opens the Prison Cell Door and Secures your Hands with 'Strong Bonds'. He Also Secures a Bag Onto your Head, and Marches You Out of the Prison. You Cannot Tell the Direction You are Being Marched. The March Ends as the Bag is Taken Off your Head. The Sudden Flare of Light Blinds You. Your Sight Returns Momentarily.
To the North You See a Row of Five Sitting Humans in Front of You Behind Five Tables. They Wear Distinguishable Clothes, and are Clearly the Council You have Heard of. Beyond Them is a Large Window, Overlooking a Large Car Park. Two "Mall Guards" Stand at Ready Beside the Window, Hands on Holstered 'Pistols' and Wearing '-Body Armor-'.
To the West You See a Row of Five Humans Sitting on a High Dias. You See that they Are to be the Jury for your Trial. You See that the Closest Juror is Jessie Herself, Eyes Full of Hate. You Know to Expect No Quarter in her Eyes.
To the South Are two Men Sitting Behind a Table to the Left and Right. The Right Man Motions You to Him, Which is Allowed. He Begins to Speak Lowly to You Urgently,
"Your case doesn't look so good, which is unfortunate for me. Turns out, while you were imprisoned Jessie led a group to find Sam's remains. Too bad she managed to get back with it alive, though one of her team wasn't so lucky. But if they can prove that he was stabbed, then your chances grow slimmer", he Gives You a Quick, Forced Smile. You Motion Him to Continue, Asking Why Jessie is on the Jury.
"Well, she's the Sheriff to start with. She is also the daughter of a previous Council member, so she can have strings pulled. Partially why she got such a good Attacker to attend this trial.". At your Bewildered Expression, he Explains that a Attacker is Basically a Prosecutor, and this Particular Attacker is One of the Best.
"... at this Mall, at least. Now, get back to your spot the Trial Begins Shortly" he Motions You Back to your Spot, and You Obey.
Beyond the Attacker and Defender You See Several Humans Who are about to Witness the Trial. There is a Set of Ornate Double Doors, Flanked by Two "Mall Guard"s Similarly Equipped as the Other "Mall Guard"s.
Suddenly, a Banging Sound Draws your Attention to the Council. The Middle Member, a Old Male Council Member, Ceases Banging and Speaks.
"The room will now cease talking and making a racket. Now, we are all here today at this Trail to determine the involvement of this Stranger here in the death of Sam Tarlew, and whether it was a chance meeting with a dead man or murder most foul".
As the Old Council Member Stops Talking, a Chorus of Whispers Erupts. He Bangs his Table Once More,
"Enough! Now, Stranger, do you understand the charges?" he Asks You. You Nod.
"How do you plead then?" he Asks Again. You Plead Not Guilty. The Old Council Member Nods, and Records your Statement.
"Very Well, then Approach the Stand Attacker". You See the Attacker Stand, and Approach the Stand.
He Begins with a Recount of Sam Tarlews Decision to Raid the City for Supplies with a Pick-Up Group, Outlining that Although Sam was Considered One of the More Prominent People of the Mall, he had Made Enemies by Supplying his Finds for Free which Undercut the Market of the Mall. He Further States that Although these are Troubled Times, there have Been Numerous Suspicious Deaths of People who Try to Help the Community at the Expense of those Who Profit of the Situation. He Finishes his Opening Statement by Asking the Jury and Council Why this should not Happen Again, Accusing You of Assassinating Sam Tarlew for Attempting to Better the Community of the Mall Selflessly. He Returns to his Seat, (Heads) and the Jury Looks Pleased with the Attackers Statements.
Your Defender Approaches the Stand, Asking that Why Would You be so Foolish as to Return to the Mall Carrying Evidence of the Murder of Sam Tarlew? He Continues, Asking the Jury the Likelihood of Such Stupidity. He then Asks About Sams Pick-Up Group, and How They Were Seemingly Excused of Any Involvement of the Murder. At the Councils Behest that he Explain his Motion to Murder, he States his Theory that a Member of Sams Pick-Up Group was Paid to Murder Sam, and Left his Body to be Devoured by "Zombies!" in the Building that the Stranger was in When he Found Sams Body. He Finishes his Final Statement and returns to his Seat, (Tails)(Tails) and the Jury Seem to be Favoring the Attackers Statement. (Heads) Jessie Seems to be Considering the Defenders Statement.
(The Jury Seem to be Favoring the Attackers Statement. Jessie is Considering the Defenders Statement. (Tails)(Heads)(Tails)(Heads)(Heads) Three Council Members Seem to Favor the Defenders Statement, Two Council Members Seem to Favor the Attackers Statement)
You See that Four Votes Have Been Tallied Against You, and Three Votes Tallied For You.
You Hear Some Whispers from the North, West, South. The Defender Motions You to him, and Tells You that Evidence Will be Called Against You. He Asks You to Make a Witnesses Statement.
What do you do?
OOC: Ok, to quickly explain the votes and such. Basically, I write a mountain of text. I flip coin, heads is successful for either Attacker or Defender. Their Success Influences the Jury, if one succeeds then they have the Juries votes. If both succeed or fail, they get no votes.
The Jury has two votes to give. the Council Members each have a single vote, which I coin flip for. Heads, Tails, you get the meaning.
Oh, and I am never writing that much again. Terribly sorry for that, will try to reduce text amount to save my own time and yours.
