I WANT TO BUILD A FORT IN THAT.
Even if it doesn't have magma. On the other hand, that water doesn't look too healthy.

I don't see any miasma.  Looks fine to me!

No obvious metal veins though.

Gold, iron and coal.  What more (apart from magma of course) could a dwarf ask for?

In a fat-fingered moment while setting up another military squad I accidentally created a captain of the guard rather than a militia captain.  His squad of near-legendary hammerdwarves equipped with high quality silver hammers then took it upon themselves to dispense justice to all the mandate breakers in the fortress.  It was quite messy.

From the look of the rock on the banks of that river, the water is acidic.

That looks cool as awesome. Someone needs to go looking for a magma pipe, it's probably not far off.

I'm not so sure; given the types of minerals that are supposed to be there, it probably wouldn't be much worse than mineral water from a hot spring.  There would probably be a risk of developing kidney stones, though.

This is a really huge cave. I wonder how much stable it is? This must be some kind of proof that Toady is god; after all, it looks like cave-in are disabled in real life too.

Nah, that cave can clearly only hold a defined number of helicopters.  It's not anywhere close to even one z-level.

Heliocopters are about wagon-sized, I think. I's call it 8 z-levels, tops.
