I've only played the campaign mode up through Advanced. I'm not very good, I'm pathetic with a pump shotty, can't even aim with a hunting rifle, and I deal way too much friendly fire. I'm usually the guy standing in the wrong place, and I tend to use up two health packs per game to my allies' zero or one. My excuse has been "I just got the game last week", for the last three months.
I suppose, just stay away from weapons you suck at. Being in normal or advanced though, you can practice with em... (I find myself acting very cocky and reckless on normal or easy... when I do find my way into em by accident... with the very very low damage...)
Friendly fire, it hurts a lot. But, you can shoot smokered and huntered allies without risk of friendly fire. They have friendly fire protection for about a split second or 2 after the smoker/hunter dies too... (A god send actually...)
As for health packs, frugality. It really annoys me when people use it to heal themselves before they get downed even once... they normally get downed right after wasting the kit... just so the AI Director can emphasis for us what a waste that was.
Not so much when they use it on the first down... but that is what pills are for...
Pills if you know where to look are normally plenty. Health packs are only ever 4 per section...
I always save for when people are black and white... but, I have been in teams where we were good enough as a collective to not save it for black and white.... plus they heal me despite protests... >.> I can only feel obligated to return the favor.
Downed allies are your shield. Use them, but protect their downed arse...
Oh and the finals suck the most... hands down...
Tank slaying tactic:
Aggro Management in open areas:
Everyone splits up and attacks. When it chases you, you stop shooting at it so it goes after someone else. That person stops... and so on... continue till tank death... Evade as needed.
Something I realized as really effective recently... on No Mercy finals terrain.
four guns is better than three
Hmmm, just hope people dont catch up on the fact that ONE npc in the team is actually a good thing. It seems they're really good at picking up some slack...
AI can be effective in many situations with their super eye sight, except for when you get huntered/smokered/boomered. They suck as support after the fact.
They are great otherwise, even when fighting against tanks... Well... if its a stay and fight together thing.
Wanna play Expert together?
Eh, if you are on the 360, sure. I don't have PC version. I suck with the mouse archetype in fps.
