L4D was the first game of a novice team, and it shows.  It was a very good game, they had wonderful support, but they were just getting their feet under them and it was pretty simple, honestly.  Maybe they had some good major league designers, but this was very new ground for them.

I think it's a worthwhile sequel.  The only issue I have is that the first game should have been cheaper--$25-$30.  Or in other words about what anyone who bought it on sale got it for.  But it sounds like they know what they're doing now, for the second one--and I'm totally up for it.  I'll be pre-ordering at full price.

Looks interesting. The upgrading of the director seems to be the biggest thing, with new bosses and weapons just adding to it's options.

I've got a hunch that this may be part of the next orange box with HL2:EP3, in a similar way to how TF2 was with EP2.

The outfits on the zombies look more simplified, but of course this is an early preview. But the 4 characters are kind of what the hell. I wouldn't have minded if they had kept the 4 from the first game. For extra cool points, they could include the original characters along with the new ones. I'm just hoping for more variety, especially in the special zombies.

Well if their sports games say anything it means you add a number and MAYBE improve the graphics.

Trailer is teh awesomes. I like the idea of having southerns doing the zombie killings, in all seriousness they'd probably survive better than anyone else, those gun totting nut case chainsaw weilding awesome people.

Assuming they're going for a New Orleans type place with the city in the trailer (which is definitely what I was thinking of), I hope one of the new campaigns involves a flood because the zombies broke a random levee down. That would be great fun.

Actually, watching a bit of the new video, I can only say that I'm impressed. Don't know why anyone could say they dislike the new characters, since we've known them for exactly one debut trailer.
