Sorry for the derail, but is anyone else looking at getting Killing Floor? An indie game similar to L4D with much more customization, perks (like wielding doors shut and healing team mates), free roaming open levels, weapons, enemy types etc...
6 player co-op > 4 co-op, especially considering I play co-op games mostly at LANs with 6 people. Also, only $15 pre-order on steam. I've already bought it, I hope some of you L4D bay12ers here also get it.

I hadn't heard of it. Is it less graphically demanding than L4D?

I'm running an 8+ year old machine here, 512 RDRAM, 1.5 gig P4 processor, 512 Meg AGP graphics card.

Yeah, they extended the time for another half a day or so, because a lot of people didn't realize that "Friday" meant "GMT" and "not past 5 PM on Friday if you're on the west coast of the USA".

I've played Left 4 Dead on a friends 360 a few times.  Used the Free Friday to check if it ran on my computer (which is just a little under minimum requirements).  Did not notice any meaningful slowdown or stuttering so I bought it.  I wouldn't call myself a newbie, but I'm not exactly superb either.

I just died on the fucking ramp of the goddamn APC in bloodharvest.  All three of my "teammates" chose to run past my prone figure rather then save me.  Two of them had health pack, which I had asked them to use on me six goddamn  times in the last two minutes of the game since they we at FULL HEALTH and wouldn't have a chance to use the packs.  And I wouldn't have even have needed health if the other guy hadn't weakened me so much with the friendly fire!

What really pisses me off is that this isn't the first time I have died on the APC ramp.  I am cursed to never beat blood harvest.
