Well, I know how everything works now, but I still can't find anyone decent to play with.

Can't help with that unless you are on the 360.

The best players I played with only corner camped when you're stuck in one place for a set amount of time, like the wait for the elevator in no mercy or the finales. The rest was just barreling through, outpacing the horde spawns and fucking over the infected trying to set up traps. Note that that's a rather small minority of players, however...

Like I said, PuG. 
I've also seen that happen, group of friends vs PuG.

Not fun on the receiving end of constant fail.  Especially if they destroy us as infected too... 
I rarely play Versus because of that.  I suck 90% of the time as infected.

L4D is a terrible game with PUGs, I find it plays best at LANs. Nothing like having everyone in the same room so you can hear the frantic yelling of your victim.

Crescendo event is the official term. The part where you have to run through a long pitch black water filled tunnel.

That's the best place to get the M60 achievement, too.

Though I was initially disappointed by the shortness of the campaign, it's kinda growing on me. It should be fun to play every once in a while.

I noticed, both our heavy gunners got it without really trying.

Update!

We've got a new mutation where you play a campaign with only temporary health. There's also a poll asking whether or not Realism Versus should be a permanent game mode.

I say yes, as I loved playing that.

I bought this game against my better judgment because two of my steam friends wanted me to play it with them. It has only been three days and I'm already tired of it. How can a game that has so little to it be given so much hype? I mean it's a great concept and it was executed very smoothly, don't get me wrong. And don't start hating on me either, I enjoyed it (not as much as L4D1 to be honest) while it lasted, but it just seems to lose my interest so quickly. This really should have been a DLC.

I was extremely disappointed with this game. The characters are horrible (Rochelle in particular..), the music is HORRIBLE, and it even seems like there are less zombies swarming you compared to the first one. Spending the small amount of money that you've scraped up out of the corners of the abyss on something like this is really disheartening. I am crying tears of regret.

It's more zombies this time, they amanged to optiise the game better. Other than that, there are quiet a few downloadable maps worth playing. I recomend city 17 a fairly long-ish campaign.
