Oh hey! I used to play this. So nice to see it's still evolving, and wow, a lot of changes for me.
The newest version's working great for me, I especially appreciate the list of commands and context-based options that are now visible.
Some things seem really weird to me, especially now that I can see (some of?) the rolls; like
a pilot trying to land and failing six rolls in a row on that single attempt, with absolutely no successes, resulting in an automatic abort but with no damage to the craft;
a pilot trying to land and failing one roll, no other rolls shown and resulting in a landing with no damage;
a pilot trying to land and succeeding hugely on a roll, no other rolls shown, and landing with damage.
Confusing, but I love it. love the option to talk to other ships in space, to be able to see what sorts of radio contacts, be able to ask for and offer assistance.
There's a few bugs in the (new to me) dialogs, for instance
a person at a small docking station was looking for *questguy or something instead of a person's name;
another person wanted some celebrity’s autograph, but when asked about who he knew said he didn't know who that celebrity was.
One quest asked for me to seek out a woman who owed the guy money; the guy knew where she was. I went there and found her, could ask her about the debt but she said she'd already paid it; there were no options I could find to do anything else with her or to her that could investigate that debt or force her to pay it or to come with me. When I went back to the guy who wanted the debt paid he had the same dialog options as before and I had no way to talk to him about her claim of already paying it.
Asking a guy about his work gave the answer 17.1;
Some dialog choices seem to simply close the dialog without a message.
Is the game at a point where lists of observed bugs and weirdnesses are wanted somewhere?
Despite these observations, I think the game is improving in a lot of directions I really like. I hadn't played it in well over a year, and I'm really excited about it and enjoying it again. Thank you, everyone who works on it!
