Same fortress, more funny stuff

OK, so just as I'm building a magma forge, one of my Blacksmiths goes fey on me.  He claims my only non-magma forge and collects all of this:

Looks like it would be pretty epic, right? Not as epic as say Dragon Bone, but decently epic. I was hoping for a steel chair or even a statue to appease some noble that I know is coming.  Instead, a little bit later, I get this:

I'm not a happy person.  There is a bright side at least, the thing is worth a pretty penny.

Or, you know, just have it sit in the booze stockpile, because as far as I can tell that's where a dwarf usually spends 70% of his waking hours, and usually, boozepiles arent all that nice to look at.

so anything that makes em go "oooooooh, shiney" when drinking is probably a plus.

Knowing murphys law, I'd say this will only work when they actually drink FROM the artifact barrel, and that barrel is probably occupied all the time by something else than booze.
