Again sorry if I made you worry for atleast one or more second.

But while we are at it, what would you really do if this were a real topic and a different member?

Don't click a poll option just yet!

For the sake of completeness, "Encourage you" is not one of the poll options. Not that I though that when I saw the author was Creamcorn.

 :D

Really it was "Fuck. Like we really need this kind of thing here" and I recalled the time DF was indirectly linked to a suicide. I probably would have had some words to discourage and pointed you towards a hotline.

Some dude came on here after his friend killed himself. Said that his dead friend really liked the game and wanted to give thanks for the fun this game provided. I probably shouldn't have mentioned this. The topic was obviously deleted very quickly.

I actually wanted to suggest that you go to the top of a building, tie cheese wire into a noose, secure it to the building, put it around your neck, superglue your hands to your head, and then jump off the building.

I really want to hear about a suicide like that in the news. If I did, I would build a shrine to the deceased person's memory.

Its a mix of curiosity and trolling.  More trolling, so I picked that.  >.>
(First thought, I don't even bother to look at or register the name till I'm in the thread and read the post.)

Disclaimer: This is opinion...

And it depends on the member really...  If its some nobody/person who isn't notably around here.  Its definitely a troll or some idiot trying to get attention.  Seriously, I would ask 'Why are you telling us if you've only been here for a week and/or posted maybe 5 posts total?'

Now, if it was someone who has been here a while and actively 'participates' around the forum... you know he/she may have enough 'sentimental/arbitrary attachment' to post here.
It also depends on how the person posted before...  Portrayed him/herself before posting this 'plea for help'....

If the person has already portrayed him/herself as an attention grabber/whiny emo or something along those lines... can't say I'd have much sympathy...  and on a forum like this....   you'd have have to work hard to get there...

As for the otherside, more contributive and sensible posters, they get more sympathy from the likes of me...

I was gonna suggest joining the military so that you can get yourself killed in a war while taking as many people with you as possible.

I was gonna suggest joining the military so that you can get yourself killed in a war while taking as many people with you as possible.

Wrong idea to give.  Considering there are easier and faster routes to this end, which are more then frowned upon...
And being in the military does not guarantee combat...  or even getting any kills.

EDIT:
Seriously, considering the media and recent 'take people out with me' suicide attacks lately... people will go after you if they find that you gave the very idea or notion to a person who gone and done their short lived killing spree.  After the fact.

People can and will twist things, especially the media to sensationalize stuff like that.
And I believe some politician(s) would even rally the 'attack' to gain popularity, especially with a clear target.  Some people would be willing to hack for information...

Fair warning.  This forum has many people here who may connect the dots if such a thing were to happen and report it.
(This applies to the US, at least.  Dunno about the rest...)

Wanted to tell you not to do it, but was hoping it was fake because I'm really sleepy and probably couldn't manage the enthusiasm for it.
