Make a siege

One of the things that i both love and hate about DF is the sieging. Because i think that traps are cheap, i get killed one year into in, and i can't chose a peaceful location because i don't get to see flying Orcs. It would be cool if you could turn off attacks, and whenever you want a challenge you could generate a army to test your defenses.

This doesn't fit with DF, because enemies come from somewhere and have had a life before the siege. Perhaps in some debug-mode, but I really can't see it in normal DF

isn't all you need for sieges is a civilization that can attack you?

If you want to disable sieges, change [INVADERS:YES] to [INVADERS:NO] in /data/init/init.txt.  But sieges generated on command aren't likely to make it in.  As Apegrape said, it would be reserved for a debug mode if there's ever a public release of something like that.
