In your profile.seria  Find and set m_roots to -1,it can be found about half way in the profile sandwiched between large clusters of two to three digit numbers.

Can somebody please help me with the hammer ball level?   I thought the one before it was hard.. (sword and baskets) but YEESH this one takes the cake. My record is 1500 from smashing the ball with my vehicle, but I esplode. And hitting the thing with my hammer only sends it up 45.. 60 at max. I'm doing something wrong?

You gotta hit it hard...  Really hard.  It's hard to explain how to do that.  You should get a feel for it after flailing around enough though.

A good solution: set your mouse speed much higher (in Windows). Also clear some place on your table and remove the mouse rag .

I personally would prefer to play that game with the keyboard.

I assume there is a way. (though the game stopped working for me correctly... so I don't bother with it right now)

The very nature of the game makes keyboard controls not an option, sadly.
Unless you have pressure-sensitive arrow keys or something to tune your speed.  Flicking your mouse is essential to do good swings, keyboards can't do that.  Perhaps a joystick or something could work.

I'll try the speed thing but I use a track ball logitech mouse, the one with the big red ball for your thumb! I wonder if this game was meant for that

YES. Probably the best mouse I ever owned.(then again,I've been using it for years and still remain faithful to it)

Although I must say playing hammerfall with a mouse like this will really beat up your hand.Careful.

Oh yes these mice are amazing, I have an entire closet full of them for whenever my current one breaks down.

EDIT: Changing the mouse speed didn't seem to effect the game at all. So I guess I'm not going to be playing past the hammerball stage. Oh well

Hmm, I only see weapons in the upper part of the hall.
This is the list of the weapons:

... I want my bullet spewing steam flying roll barrel NOW!...

There should be a smaller wall weapon rack below those weapons, both shooting weapons appeared there for me. Try to do a few missions more or capture it from enemy.
