I truly hope this is completed, Beefmo's graphics give me the warm fuzzies of playing an old Nintendo game, except in this case I'm not throwing my controller at the wall and cursing the makers of Ninja Gaiden.

The kobolds alone make me want to buy him a beer.

Good news and bad news.....

I always liked bad news first so... My photoshop fucked up *cough serial is no longer valid cough* So Vile force of darkness 2 is stalled at around 1200 frames till i can sort that out and get it running again.

But the good news is that I can get back to work on the sweet sweet sprite`ness. So the question is... What do people want done next?

Finish off the elves? (noticed that posted)
Animals?
Tileset? (although that will probably wait for full tile support)
Modded races?

I need some dirrection.. and I`m kinda hankering to get started today, so I`ll probably mess around with my fallout DF tileset I`ve been mashing together slowly so i can use it with Deon`s mod :P

To Kivish: That is an awesome military you whipped up there. If you feel like knocking out some job sprites for them I`d really like to add them to the download for the people that prefer a standard medieval human look. If you cant be arsed let me know and I`ll whip the jobbies up myself.

To Pmantix: The orc boobies your seeing are actually their pot bellies. Theyve got REALLY stubby little legs to allow them to fit into the tile and still look huge.. Think of them like big hairless toothier gorilla`s?

To Jim Groovester: Sadly theres no actual tile tags for legendaries appart from military. But that idea your talking about is already in use for help with distinction between the military and their civilian counterparts.

Please, finish elves. Even they deserve to be completely done.

Yay he lives!  :D

I'd vote for replacing the game's core content before moving on to modded stuff, as more people are able to benefit. Then since you have such lovely orcs started, they could be worked on.

I'd definitely like to see Elves completed! They look great so far.

Also, and though I love the artwork you've done, and the creative approach you've taken, but I'd like to see an alternative version of Kobolds, which aren't all covered in Clay Pots, or stylized Weapon-Hats. I think of them as primitive Dog-Lizard-Goblins, and the little pot-heads don't fit with this for me.

I fiddled with something of a design in a similar style, but I'm not as good at capturing expression and gesture as you are with your sprites, so they're a bit generic:

(Unmagnified sprite sheet here)

I LOVE your art style, beefmo, it's great. I'd just like to cast a vote for a tileset as your next project, because I'd really just love to see your take on it. Anything you do would be appreciated though!

Also, Solifuge, I really like your kobolds. I think of them as dog-lizard things too. Are you going to complete that set?

Another vote for the Treehuggers. If you like, you could also flesh out the orcs a bit more (jobs and stuff), but perhaps some of the mods out there could use a hand with the graphics. Dig Deeper, Civilization Forge, ... In short:

If you feel the itch, you have PLENTY of opportunities to scratch it.  ;D

Also you have correctly stated animals. There are several really good animal packs but not in your style :) Also as far as I know only RantingRodent is currently working on exotic animals (I have seen picture of snailman). Has anyone made antmen, lizarmen, etc?

Oh god, please no lizard kobolds for me :D. They are more like a hairy monkey-goblin, at least in DF. DND isn't alpha and omega :D.

That's been said, your kobolds are great, Solifuge.\

I like the sweating thief. "Damn these kids are heavy!" ;D
