Oh, it's fine now, I just haven't updated the OP yet. (And most of the survivors of that battle are injured, too.) I are slow.

I have an excessive amount of wool. Is it possible for me to research a furnace technology as an alternative to water wheels, and use them to trade one unit of wool for one unit of some other resource? I'm really not sure what else to do with my wool.

I swear Neo-Tyrg is going to figure out how to make Wool Weapons with Alchemy.

Soak it in blood and molten iron.

I have a few questions on blood magic. It's a bit expensive for me to go around experimenting with it randomly.

1) What's the difference in stats between a unit of archers with iron arrows, and a unit of archers with enchanted arrows?

2) How many units of archers can a single unit of blood mages provide enchanted arrows for?

3) Is that a cost of 3 gold per spell cast?

4) If so, can I substitute population or slaves for the gold cost?

Edit - My status screen says I only have one warrior unit and one iron defender unit. Where'd the second unit of warriors disappear to?

Two attack and first strike 2 instead of one.

Oh, four or five if they're not doing anything else.
3) Is that a cost of 3 gold per spell cast?
No, the upkeep on the mage unit covers that. I need to add a bit about mages to the rules post, come to think of it...

What do you think you're paying for? Buying slaves gets expensive.

Uh, a hidden crevasse in my brain somewhere. I'll fix that.

Why is it that only I have posted my next action within 2-3 days of the previous turn's posting? Come on people, I'd like to see the game progress as quickly as Vanigo is willing to progress it.

Please note that I have no intention of betraying anyone with a "Nope, the agreement was [THIS]. I'm upholding my end, even though you thought I said [THAT]." It's the common goblins who do that; Glrk'nr's above that. I'm aiming for a bloodthirsty lawful evil culture.

Maybe turn deadlines could be tightened up a bit (outside of extenuating circumstances)? 3-5 days max would probably help discourage procrastination. (Well, it would discourage it from me, anyhow.)

I just realized that I researched metalworking without first researching it's prequisite of mining.  Should we amend this error?

Mining was one of your starting techs, what with the whole living underground thing.

I don't see what the problem is. Sure, you know how to smelt metal, but that doesn't mean you know how to build a mine to collect any.
