Hypothetically speaking, if the game lasted long enough for all the pre-requisite technologies, are airships possible?

Not that I'm planning on obliterating Strife's overly well thought out plans or anything.

I was concerned about that. Will my plans for a zefie armored corp be affected by the -25% for ranged attacks, or does that end with the discovery of gunpowder or somthing.

I'll be pursing gunpowder in a few turns, I guess. The zefies can't really use magic.

Airships? Maybe. Goblin airships? No. The Neo-Tyrgani could probably get something like that, and maybe the Jerrans or Asykos, but that kind of engineering is just not your thing.

Strife: If you wanted guns you shouldn't have categorically said zefies are bad at ranged combat. If you don't have magic, you'll need to find some other solution.

As long as I have an extra unit for every four normal ones, it gets balanced out.

Zefies have their own canon, you see. In said canon, there are a lot of different races. My puff balls tended to depend on flame throwing chaps for long range means (which wasn't often, projectiles were never that effective in the world, and the zefies went almost completely extinct before they got much further than middle age/ roman technology). I'm fine with the limitation though. The zefies will just work harder. And have better projectile weaponry. And more of it. Mwhahaha.
