In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

So.... Is anyone going to still admit that God made us in his image?
What?! Are you a cheese denier, boy? Do you think cheese is not good enough for you? You better start talking cheese now, or else!

Not very creative then.  If I were God, I'd make something awesome and original.  Not something exactly the same as me...

Holy Cheese you say?

He never said a god created us to be like it, merely that one created us in its image. You see, God is an artist. As such, it painted a few pictures. We, as has been stated, are in its image. Litterally, a wall painting. You don't look anything like a god, you are merely in an image hung on the wall for decoration.

Also, if anyone turns above re-interpretations into an actual religion, please send me 10% of the profits.

And yet, apparently he couldn't think of a form more perfect than his own.

I mean, I'd make the dominant species have at least 4 arms and enormous claws.  And a mating system so complicated it needs dozens of pages of exposition to explain.

I was afraid I (re-)started something horrible with my post 4:30 in the morning in this thread but I see, everything's just fine. *phew*

@above me:
You did right, eating cheese just can't be wrong.

Oh well, I can't resist the urge: Stating a problem wrong and coming to a conclusion that makes no sense with correct math doesn't mean that math isn't applicable to the correctly stated problem.

Everytime I see the title, all I can think is-

"Atheists, Those bastards!"

I find this highly amusing.
