In regards to German, I, having learned the words ja, nein, danke and entschuldigen sie a few years ago, I actually use them by habit instead of the English term, and I find it really difficult not to. Anyone else have this problem? I don't even learn German and I do it, just because they sound so much better than the English terms.

I attempted to learn japanese a few years back, I failed utterly for a few reasons, but I often find myself useing some japanese words over english when I talk.

I spoke a little German when i was a child because my paternal grandparents didn't speak a lick of English.  Literally all I remember are the curse words.  So ein Mist just doesn't have the punch that FUCK or SHITTITS do.

I played Shogun. It was like Risk with tinfoil archers, infantry who didn't understand what a shield was and stupid samurai who didn't understand how fortifications work.

I like Medieval two, but it's the only one I have so I can't judge the others. But there is just some kind of twisted pleasure out of bribeing the pope so he's your best friend, while slaughtering every other catholic nation in the world on CRUSADES becouse the pope excommuicated them for fighting his best bud. Hell I once let these 4 mongal general's get away every fight, after several fights 3 of them had the 'afraid of the french' trait and one had the 'hates france' trait, I was france.

Could be worse. As in, Empire Total War AI in a fort.

"Enemy threw climbing ropes on the walls."

"Well, time to climb down the outside of our walls on the enemy's ropes and fight them in hand to hand combat one by one at the bottom."

Aside from the HORRIBLE fort AI in ETW, the fort battles also appear to have a memory leak or something, as the game slows down to 1 or less fps after about 15 minutes.

Fort battles in Empire were more broken than any other total war game except, most likely, Napoleon.

I hear Napoleon fixed them, but yeah, fuck fort battles. I always auto-resolve because my computer slows down (good to hear that's not just me) and I lose 70% of my army otherwise to retardation.

Rome wasn't that bad as long as you didn't need to get up on a wall for any reason.

Yeah, Rome was pretty good, but the siege towers could fuck up your plans something wicked.
