Holy crap, why did I not start watching One Punch Man earlier? This is the best thing.

MaximumZero, didn't you post somthing before about having extremely dense bones, leading to you being strong but unable to swim?

It's a combination of both muscular structure and bone density. I come from a place that has thousands and thousands of natural lakes, due to glacial formations, and cannot swim. :(

What's this implied crap about religion being necessary for personal growth.

A lot of my personal growth and self discovery and where that's lead me isn't condoned by the more religious people in my religion, nor do I feel was influenced by it overmuch.

I wake up to personal growth every morning Wow, I am so sorry.

I'm not a Christian because we have awesome buildings, though that certainly is a benefit. I simply like the feeling of being a Catholic, so I am one. It might not be true, but I choose to believe in it because I like the people in it as well as the feeling of oneness it brings. It gives me something to hope for in hopeless situations.

It's odd, I can't bring myself to believe in something I don't think is true.  Even if I know doing so will benefit me.  I sortof... think truth is an end in itself?

In an odd way, this makes me irrational.

No, it doesn't. Falsehoods, even if providing an immediate benifit, tend not to end well. Your automatic aversion to them is likely a learned behavior from past lies gone wrong.

Ok back to what I mentioned before.

A girl got kicked out of public school for not joining in on a basketball team's (or was it a pep rally, looked more like a basketball game) national because she doesn't believe in god, and the version they were singing included god in it.

You know, I've always been a bit bothered by the mention of God it O Canada.
I mean, it's not like it ruins the anthem for me, but I guess it's kind of like how some people are bothered by how it uses "all our sons command" without any mention of the daughters.
