Don't worry, Elvenkings are the strongest of the elves, and are frequently spawned with pickaxes, and maybe mattocks. I can't remember.

Both my games are over...

My valkyrie got a few more levels up, then killed in combat while I was struggling with all the liches (they fled and followed, there are many on same level).

My wizard on PocketPC unwittingly fire a force bolt at a floating eye, which was lined up with Izchak's door. I tried to pay for the damage, but my low Cha + 600 gold wasn't enough. I felt ashamed of angering Izchak, so I waited until he depleted his wand of striking, then stood still while he struck me down.

Back to square one...

But still, I know the guy died of cancer, but I'm sure Izchak would've wanted you to live, not sit back and let his game character beat you to death.

I failed to get it out of my cursed BoH (1 in 13 chance and I still failed). I was out of blessed water... the last backup in my oilskin sack was used to uncurse my unihorn. I kept getting stunned, and used a cursed unihorn (forgot to check its BUC status). So I had to uncurse it, or I'll die of sickness.


In other news...



Isn't it sad when you own a shop, but the shop is only 10'x10' and without any windows? Isn't it depressing when the only item you're selling is a tin opener? Don't you want to kill yourself when someone comes in with a cat, steals your tin opener and sell it back to you again and again?

That's a question I have too. For a wizard that would be quite normal... but a caveman? 

I'd be able to do that only by abusing wands of digging... and that would be a one-way trip.

How do you get 3 ac with a wizard? I need to figure this out, cause my recent archie runs have been having some major difficultys regarding armour.

EDIT: also I just found that black puddings give heat resistance, awsome!

Just get leather items on all slots.

leather armor - AC 2  or studded leather armor - AC 3
cloak of magic resistance - AC 1
elven leather helm - AC 1
leather gloves (any type) - AC 1
leather boots (any type) - AC 1

That's 6 or 7 points of AC, without counting +1 or +2 items that you can find.
