Alright Odin just found a uncursed ring of levetation. But, saddly he also got demonbane from an alter.

How's your food situation doing? If you're doing alright, then seriously consider wearing that ring of invisibility all the time. Ring hunger is basically just burning an extra 1 nutrition every 20 turns, and if you're doing alright with food, then that's next to nothing compared to the benefits of being invisible all the time.

I don't recommend altar camping early in the game. Since you can wish for 2 artifacts guaranteed, I'd recommend waiting until you get a wish, and getting the things your heart desires rather than hoping the RNG gives you what you want. Once there's atleast 2 artifacts in existence, then I recommend altar camping because wishing for artifacts becomes unreliable after that, and altar camping doesn't cost you anything except time and methods of creating monsters.

Food is iffy, right now I have enough to stay alive but not to indulge in such luxurys as constant ring wearing. But even then I know when its a good time to take it on/off so thats not TOO big of a problem. Also I am psychic and have a blindfold so I can see whats coming most of the time.

Yeah, I was just thinking of the 2 artifact thing just now. Im done camping(although Im lv 8 now so thats not a big problem.), Im out of food anyway. Luckily I havent prayed yet and dont get a hopeful feeling at the alter so I can still pray for now.

As for whips, I dont see how people think they dont make good weapons. Im kicking ass with mine(Although this just may be in comparison with my recent tourist games)

So anyway I feel pretty set, that is unless theres any suprises. I doubt theres gonna be any soon but of course...

EDIT: Also I found a dilithium crystal. Is that good?

Yep, Dilithium Crystals are the most valuable in the game. With a pet, you can steal thousands of zorkmids from shopkeeper by repeatedly selling it, and stealing it back.

Too bad a giant mimic killed my cat(or the captian of the guard). Being a archiologist I burried it honorably in the middle of some random hall.

Anyway nice to know of its value, I might consider selling it as soon as I get the pet and the need to. I also have various other precious gems, should I sell those or wait? Ehh, Ill probably know what to do never mind.

Yeah, Captain of the Guard is the bane of your large dog/cat and horse. Pets often misjudge on the captain.

I'd recommended locking your pets (if you can handle the monsters yourself) or the captain in while exploring mine town. Apply leash, tripe ration, tin whistle, magic whistle, lockpick and whatever tools you have or can buy.

People often keep the gems (or sell, then kill shopkeeper), because they are lighter than zorkmids of equivalent value. The higher value results in a higher score.

To late Im dead, enemy god killed me... I was starving and inside the enemy gods temple there was an orc, I killed it and it droped a corpse. That corpse was on top of a trap door.

I fell in and fainted down at the bottom. And then a evil dog from hell ate me.


Also I ran out of prayers when fighting a golem, so all that did was lose me a level. AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE, I CHECKED! Oh well, mabey Odin II will do better. Ill avenge him and beat the game, but tomorrow. Im tired now.
