I'm planning to dedicate a temple to everyone's favourite blood god in my next fortress, and I was wondering what key features it should include.
Currently I have the following:
- Grand Arena, where gladiatorial fights will take place in the name of Armok. Surrounded of course by magma.
- Execution pit for those not fit for glorious death in arena combat. Possibly allow filling bottom with magma depending on crime.
- Champions quarters, royal housing for the Arena champions, as well as an equally opulent series of tombs for champions past.
- Exclusive forge for the legendary armour and weaponsmiths.
- Extensive butchery and meat farm, as the servants of Armok will not settle for any food that was not freshly carved from a slain creature.
- Artifact reliquary, filled with only the finest depictions of Armok's glory in glossy metal, as well as the tools to further carry out his work. Substandard artifacts, especially those of wood and cloth, will require the creator to redeem themselves in arena combat, else their corpse and precious artifact are tossed into the pit.
All other tools and trades will be situated within the servants quarters, outside the temples boundaries.
What other features should be included to make this a true Temple to the Blood god?
