Sounds good to me. Even I have no idea what will come of this axe. Let us wait and see!

Awesome story. And, I think I found a loophole in the no-more-characters thing. (Thank you, axe and fire-throwers)

If you want, I'll post it.

...Huh. I guess we took that too literally. :P
It's been so long, I can't even think of a good journal. :-\

Check the Legends thread for my status in real life. Also, I see where you're going with this, and I have to say no, sorry. The main reason that I stopped new characters was the amount of subplots they brought to bear, and being an axe or whatever won't stop that. The thing is, you'll naturally want to contribute to the story (why wouldn't you?) and that's the real problem. Thanks for the thought but sorry, I can't

Bump! I believe that 18 days is a long time for this story to have no journals and such.

Okay, quickly, give me a list of all the humans in Eli Eremo apart from Walter and Bjorn.

Christ, if I ever do something like this again, I'm writing it all out beforehand so I don't have to deal with this. I am so damn bad at keeping track.

Okay.

Within the last week, I have written maybe 100 words. I cannot write more than that, I simply can't. I've got writers block something awful, but that's not the main problem.

The main problem is I'm bored. I'm bored with the plot, the idea, the stupidly messy plotline I've create and I'm worried I'm going to end up overwhelming myself. I can't remember half the characters names, you know that? If you're wondering why your character isn't getting any time in the limelight, it's because the people that I always do give time to are the only ones I can really work with in an interesting way. Also, I'm getting the feeling that people are growing as disinterested as I am.

So, here's what I'm going to do. If you don't want me to continue this, say so and if there's a majority (say, 80%) then it's done, it's over. If you do want me to continue, which is the most likely outcome, understand that there is going to be some serious pruning involved, so I can make this fun again. People will die, a lot of people. It'll leave quite a few of you a bit down, but I really don't think I should have accepted more than 8 or so characters in the first place. It's unwieldy, it's foolish and some characters might as well not exist for the amount of attention I've shown them. Raptor was a good example of this. I didn't kill him off for drama, I killed him off to see if I could get away with it, and since his creator hasn't posted in this thread in around 6 months, I pulled it off.

So, that's the deal. If I continue, expect the cast to be reduced drastically. Not that there'll be any real difference. That's the problem. It's ironic really, since I'd promised you all your characters would die quickly way back at the start, and then I killed two people. Two. And that was it.

Make your decisions.

Any number of people may feel I have no right to a vote, as I don't have a character. I can't see any claim that I have a right to a vote. I'm just an interested reader.

So all I have is an opinion. And my opinion is that Jackrabbit is entirely right about the number of characters. On top of that I would go further to say that it's high time some people died, and it's his story anyway. He is only going to pursue characters he has an interest in unless he forces himself to do otherwise, and that would only drag the story down.

Personally, Jackrabbit, I don't see the need for a vote at all. You're being very generous to your readers and have been all along, and it's time you unapologetically take your story and do what you darn well please with it. Duke Nukem of the stories section, apologize for nothing!

Limul Thak's Journal

I have a bad feeling about this.

"A bad feeling regarding what, exactly?"
Navi, I'm not in the mood for your Armok-damned semantics.
"I can try a more dwarvenly vocal setting if you wish, but I warn you that--"
Shut up and try to talk dwarfish, already. It might cheer me up.
"So, whut's the bahd foiling 'boot, m'lahde?"
That... was... AWFUL!!!
"I do apologize, but you quite literally asked for my distasteful attempt at copying your vernacular."

I need another Armok-damned drink. Whatever's about to happen is going to be bad, and I'd rather face it like a real dwarf: drunk as hell.
...Actually, I should probably get in some more lightning practice with Navi while I'm at it.

If Olon dies you will find the words Razgar carved into your bedpost in the middle of the night Jack.
