Oldbeard: The only creature able to look down on Armok as a "foolish youngster".

Oh, he doesn't do that. They used to be poker buddies.

I think the thing we all want to know is: How can you tell the difference between him bluffing, and him with his senility acting up?

I write, therefore I AM UNTO A GOD.

God, this is magma. Magma, God.

I'll just leave you two alone for a while.

Oldbeard says that magma isn't as hot as it used to be, and that it's painfully ineffective against the green menace.

I think it's worth noting that Olon died and Kogan did not  :P

Awesome update, Jackrabbit, can't wait for more.

I was confused during the middle.

Barbarossa died, Workerdrone got arrowed, and then Oldbeard closed his eyes.

Soon after, only workerdrone and oldbeard went to valhalla. Barbarossa was unharmed?

That was a pretty excellent story.

Just remember Limul, Oldbeard and Workerdrone are very, very, very difficult to keep down. I think we can classify that as a one-off thing.

Barbarossa didn't die, I'm not sure what you read.

Thanks for the support guys!

The afterlife is what you believe in. Workerdrone and Oldbeard both haven't put much thought into it and thus end up in Valhalla, which the both despise. And promptly escape from.

For your information numb nuts with some sort of android name, I didn't die. In fact, I shattered my way out of Valhalla.

Can't have a weakling like you leading the charges, no.

That's a position reserved for Olon Irongloves.

Also. As for hating Valhalla, that would be Oldbeard. If anything Olon loves eating, drinking, fighting and killing, and he doesn't much care where he does it, and all the better if its for eternity or the end of time.

However, he still has people to kill in the real world, a fool to show up on the battlefield, and of course some unfinished business.

I'm pretty certain that Navi would be able to keep me out of any afterlives (at least at first), although you have to admit that Oldbeard and Workerdrone make it look too easy. :P

That avatar looks neat. I like the "artistic liberty" taken with Navi, though I'm wondering why my beard has a face of its own. :P

I have to agree Olon went down to easy. Jackrabbit, an update earlier a bolt just bounced right off that plate.

How the fuck can you explain a bolt going right through steel plate, and at the very next update of all things.

Because it's a bolt. There's always a 1 in 10 chance a bolt in DF is going to kill you instantly, no matter the protection.
