WORKERDRONE IS FAR TO IMPORTANT TO INCLUDE HIS APPLICATION IN THE ACTUAL THREAD. I sent it through PM to Jackrabbit.

We don't have enough blood crazed maniacs in the military, so WD is in.

You lose. I'm afraid I'm just a bit to badass for you to handle. I duel wield two axes and I fucking sing tales of glory.

Hell yeah.

Thus ends the official written history of the fortress known as Boatmurdered. May their tortured souls rest in peace.

A task I STILL CAN'T ACCOMPLISH BECAUSE THE ALT-6 COMMAND WON'T WORK.

Never the less, I'm glad I helped out Jackrabbit in that regard.

Now. IF ONLY I COULD DO THAT TOO.

Bardbeard's Journal,

My prowless and growing experience has granted me the position of commander, if but for a short time. I know my father would have been proud of me for getting a chance like this to prove my worth. I mustn't let it get to my head thought, we have a job to do and any desire for renown and glory must come second.

Kogan's Journal

Bah! The Hounds of Hell? They're not even War Hounds! This pathetic array of mindless peasants and blathering old fools is no match for the goblins, weak they may be. Oh, the stories me pappy Oldd Truebasements used to tell of the massive goblins of his day, and the demons that led them, and the...

(blathering continues for two more pages)

...Ironblood's cabinet.

But I digress. I shall simply have to hope this little group of recruits will do for now. Until I have assembled the forces that I shall need to retake and rebuild Winddimples, I must remain loyal to that Pretender King... *Dun-dun-duuuuuun*

Limul Thak's Journal

Dear Journal,
I need to stop saying that at the beginning of my journal entries. Anyways, they hired me for the mining, even though I've been taking down goblins for a month! In dwarf time, that should make me a god of war or something!
Well, at least my axe is masterwork. Not an artifact, unfortunately (no menacing spikes whatsoever, y'see), but it's still the best axe here. Again, shouldn't this make me like unto a god? This feels... real... not like our universe should feel.
My head hurts. I'm getting sober again. My pop always says that a Thak can't get sober or they get philo-whatchamacallit...
Will write again soon. -LT

There's a way to get it to randomise grass, but I can't remember what, and the grass is different to the DF set-up for grass.  I just hand-build a series of grass and stone fields and copy them in as neccessary.

Love the saga (alas, poor Bjorn!  I knew him, Iorek), by the way!  Twas the inspiration for all the Vignettes in that other thread.  ^_^

It's alt-6. I think I'll use it after this part of the story.
