Journal of Galdon Mezoran

Yesterday, after a long trek, I finally arrived at my destination: the city of Nazushfikuk.  I was, out of sheer luck, able to sell some of my recently made maps to an ore prospector within just a few hours of my arrival, and therefore decided to retire myself to one of the local inns (it's more of a tavern/pub, it seems, but they rent beds as well).  I asked around and could not find out what the actual name of the inn was, but I heard the locals call it "The Drunken Bastard."  Seems odd to me, as nobody here is any more drunk than could be expected of tavern regulars.  I had a decent night sleep, and awoke to a seemingly dull morning; therefore I decided to bide my time by writing.

On another, more interesting note, I heard that a siege party was on its way to the town.  Because of this, I've been analyzing the city's defenses; the walls seem to be in shape, and the local garrison is well armed and, from what I could tell, decently skilled as well.  Although I have been offered a contract in the upcoming battle by the city leader, I am influenced to decline it by what I have been hearing of the siege party; it seems to be at least five thousand strong, and I doubt that, without some significant outside help, the city of Nazushfikuk will hold through the siege.  To the contrary, however, I have yet to see the invaders with my own eyes, and until I do I will probably not come to a final decision.

Anyway, I figure that the dwarves are only marginally less wasteful of metal than they are of wood. The moody dwarf's selecting only the best 5% of each bar of metal, and eats the rest to sustain him as he works on the artifact.

So I not so much lied as was mistaken. No update tonight. I went out to a party at the last minute. Does anyone know how good Resistance 2 multiplayer looks on a 50 inch LCD screen? Now I know.

gruffy, you're isn't short for anything. It's just a contraction.

YA - an acronym, and therefore short for you are.

You're - a contraction of You and Are, dropping the "a" to increase smoothliness of wordflow.
