And now, we bring you to another episode of:

Behind the keyboard

Tonight, we look at a very exclusive deleted scene that Jackrabbit was working on, involving the recently created 'powder pistol' of Oldbeards.

So why was this scene removed? When asked, Jackrabbit invited our interviewer into a montage of thoughts that entered his mind after writing the scene.

Spoiler: The Author's Mind (click to show/hide)

"And so," concluded Jackrabbit. "I felt that this work didn't convey all it could about the power and raw emotion of dakka and I was forced to scrap this wonderful piece of writing."
When asked how he planned on rectifying the situation, he responded with "How the hell do you think?" and withdrew a large rifle from under his desk.

Jackrabbit was gunned down by police at 4 in the afternoon. The death toll was 12. In lieu of a funeral, his corpse will be hung from a lamppost, so passersby can abuse his lack of imagination and terrible attempt at wringing a laugh out of the meme "dakka".

((This was far too fun to write))

I can't believe I don't get that reference. Anyway, as for the... what shall now be refered to as the thing... I thought it was time for another blindingly obvious and bad joke. It was getting lonely in here.

I can't believe I USED that reference.

And out of context at that.

Gears of War.

Or Gears of Awesome, maybe.

Gears of Awesome, gotta love that Egoraptor, but the referral is indeed to the game itself, because I in fact think Cole says that very same line. At LEAST once. Or it wouldn't be iconic.

I prefer my RvB reference. Reconstruction was the best thing that the 360 has ever given us, and is better than most of the crap on TV. I've never seen such a perfect combination of gut-busting humor and moving plot.

I'm not saying Red vs Blue wasn't completely awesome, I'm just saying that I liked Egoraptor's shit.

And FUNNY THING THERE.

Commentary actually states that all works Egoraptor did was ACTUALLY based off random practice voice work he was doing, and that he merely animated it on request in the form of two rather mediocre Final Fantasy spoofs. This developed into what would later be called the 'Awesome Series', and...

You guys don't want to know this crap, just watch the spoofs.
