AUTUMN STATUS REPORT:

One more thing you should know about my queen: One of or dwarves went crazy and took over one of our crafting shops, after about 6 days, he created an amazing looking ring!

[OOC] I know my wealth sucks but I have all of my dwarves split accross all the skills besides lye making soap making potash making clothier, and all the other stuff that helps with plants

and the artifact is a piece of shit, only 4800...

the recruits are just peasants that I didnt feel like making slaves (already have 5) and they are all marksdwarves

Of course, why else would dwarves risk life and limb to retrive one sock during a full scale siege onslaught.
The depressing thing is that they quite often lose life and limb(s) in the process.

Relax, there is no point in having wealth if you don't have a place to hide it away where nobody will ever find it...

Oh, I just meant that there is nothing wrong with no fortress wealth, and that you should build a treasury at the end of a rickety bridge in the middle of a carp-infested lake.

Also, what is with the 834 FPS? Don't the dwarves burst into flames due to wind resistance?

Sorry its taking me a while, my laptop is not working properly, I can barely get DF open let alone run it quickly, and my bro is WAY too addicted to WoW to let me use my mainframe...

Haha, don't worry about it it's fine.  It was just getting kind of far back, so I wanted to make sure it was still all good.

Yeah its good but I can only play when my bro is at work, which isnt very often since he isn't scheduled he just tells his boss when he wants to work and he works then (which is not very often)

ALRIGHT! I did some serious redecorating on the internal system settings in my laptop and along with some Extremist FPS maximizing fucntions I am currently running about twice as fast as I ever have! so I am going to FINALLY continue my part, third year here I come! those of you done with third can now move on if you havent already

EDIT: after about 35ish minutes of playing I have finished a season whereas my shortest season was an hour and a half previously, I am running at an average of 75 FPS instead of my usual 25 SWEET I am happy now :)

NICE!

I'll have to start my third year tomorrow, I haven't started yet.

EDIT:

Ok well I just started playing again, everything was going nicely.  Suddenly, AMBUSH!  I checked up on my military, and saw that my leader somehow got her arm chopped off while sparring and is in bed...  She is still ecstatic, having acquired "minor" injuries and thinks that she had a satisfying sparring session...  I realized that the goblins were headed straight for my unprotected entrance.  As soon as I saw this  and my dwarfs were inside, I ordered a wall to be built there.  It was, but my mason was trapped outside.  he quickly made a made dash for the protected entrance, and the goblins also made their way for this entrance.  He made it inside and three of the goblins were caught in my cage traps, the other two bumbled around by the entrance while my dwarfs tried to take the cages away, however the goblins by this point realized they were outnumbered and began to make a getaway for the edge of the map. Meanwhile I had several dwarfs running around trying to find the entrance to the fortress (the goblins were standing by the entrance so the dwarfs that came to set the cages, ran straight outside to escape them, and had no way to get back in so they just panicked until the gobbos left and I gave the all clear).

The threat is gone, but now I have to figure out what to do about this injured leader.

The goblin attack was perfect timing too!  I just have ordered my dwarfs to build a goblin free fall tower for execution, it's only four levels but soon should be the tallest point on the map.
