Undestructable Monsters
« on: April 23, 2009, 12:15:37 am »

So, um, i found a neat spot with magma, sand, HFS, terrifying biome and a chasm which is mostly underground (only two ways out, both small and easily walled off) full of batmen, cave swallowmen and everyone else and their dog

So i stuck my War Dogs outside the chasm to protect my Mason as he walls it off.

Not long after "Urist McMason has cancelled build wall; interrupted by Batman."

Coo, i think. Doggies will take care of it.

Awhile later i notice there is a Batman Lower Body lying in my refuse pile.

But no corpse.

A quick search reveals there is a Batman flying around sans Lower Body. He's been ripped in half and is happily flappitying about at about +10 z levels.

Wut.

Maybe i should hold his lower body for hostage?

Batman: Aha! Nobody can catch the goddam batman!
Dwarves: We are holding your lower body hostage!
Batman: Keep it, it was only weighing me do-
Dwarves: You need it to reproduce.
Batman:...Crap.

Batmen presumably only need their upper body for locomotion, since they fly. Nice bit of detail, that.

It just dropped seventeen z levels out of the sky stone dead.

Interestingly there are a number of blood spatters scattered across the map, i'm thinking he was bleeding all this time and finally bled out.

It just dropped seventeen z levels out of the sky stone dead.

Was it dead before it hit the ground, or did it just pass out?
