exceptionally good spot for embark! - Universes of Omen

im gonna let people in on a secret location ive been using for a while now that is perfect.   90% terrifying biome, magma, 2 patches of magnetite embedded in 3 layers of flux (limestone), sand, heavilly forested, underground pool, diamonds and kimberlite on bottom layer, and it has HFS as well.   all in a STANDARD 6x6 embark location!     and you can add in chasm if you go 6x7

Excellent. A terrifying setting was the one thing lacking from Dwarf Heavan! Do you have any mods on this? Like, if I run it with the Orc mod, will I still get it? Anyone?

It seems very dwarven to use the hell itself as a garbage disposal. I can just see this isolated pile of goblin clothing, rotten food, and chunks of animals sitting there in a featureless plain, slowly cooking in the heat as demons pick at it.

There are endless posts on that.

Copy/paste the above into your data/init/worldgen file, at the bottom.

Start a new world with "parameters", and choose that one.

Enjoy.

I don't have the evil biome when i gen the world; everything else is the same, but it's Calm, not evil.

What mods are you using?

sadly not without editing the orc mod.         there was one entry that was interfering with it and making it generate differently.     i did get it to generate properly after figuring it out that it was the giant wood spider entry that was throwing things off.

remove that from the orcs and the world gens perfectly.

did you remove the entry for the giant wood spider?    you might need to remove the war elephant and dire wolf too...    i just stripped it all out except the orcs directly and it worked fine

ive used this seed in a straight vanilla unpack of 40d9.    it gens fine for me

try it in a vanilla install.     if you are using the orc mod or some other mods, there are creatures that can change the balance of the biomes
