Honestly, I don't understand why it takes some people fifty examples to learn a new rule of exponents that my teacher already explain ten seconds ago!

Most people only need basic math in life.  But, thats just opinion...

Personally, my brain handles math well after some repetition and detailed explanations. But not if somebody just throws a rule at me and tells me to use it. For example, integrals. I didn't understand the reason it works. I couldn't even use it until I had a good grasp of WHY it works. My brain just needs things to make SENSE before it remembers them.

The elementary I went to, Lowell, banned any kind of made-up or imaginary game, with a penalty if you were caught playing them. We were only allowed to play real games, like basketball, handball, dodgeball, and catch, etc.
