Dyes, thread and cloth
« on: April 21, 2009, 07:59:29 am »

Few questions on the cloth industry.

Is there a difference between dyeing a thread, and dyeing a cloth? As far as I know, dyed thread creates dyed cloth on 1 to 1 ratio, so no actual difference.

Does the quality of dyeing, or the quality of the cloth somehow affect the quality of the object made of it? Which is more important? Does using good quality cloth increase the odds of producing good quality objects?

I cant tell a difference other than in the description text as far as dying the cloth versus thread goes.

A high quality cloth will be worth more when made into something versus an average quality cloth, even if they make the same quality object. Dyeing adds to value, but Im not sure how much or what differences it makes, if there is a quality modifier.

....They just refuse to stay down unless butchered, in which case their skins will haunt you until you subdue and tan them. Never has legendary butcher and legendary tanner seemed so valueable as in this release.

1.i dont believe so

2.Dyeing adds the value of the dye, multiplied with the quality to the thread or cloth. Depending on the dye used and the quality of the dyeing.
