Will the rabbits still be wearing pants too?

The rabbits are pants-free again.  So is everybody else.  Anybody with a body and legs can have pants, but they have to make them out of hair/skin/bark/whatever (and creatures don't have AI for that).  When you make pants, you specify a creature you are trying to make them for, so that it can autoplace holes for the tail if need be, etc.

Right now, it doesn't take size into consideration... and a lot of other things.  I'll slowly be knocking off the lack of realism bit by bit over versions as I age, but I don't care too much now.

Item descriptions are done.  Projectile bugs are really the only hurdle left, although they've been around for a long time.  Once they are fixed, it should be ready, pretty much.  Not that it is very interesting.

Now, will pants and other clothing reduce damage? (armour?)

Yeah, although it doesn't account for thickness yet, so it might not work well.  It takes the weapon material and the armor material and compares their durabilities.  Using that number, it reduces the force of the blow either by a tiny amount or a lot, etc.  If the force is reduce by more than half, and it was slash/gore/pierce damage, then it is converted to bludgeoning damage before it hits your body, or the next piece of armor covering the part.  The numbers will need lots of tinkering, but later, when the game is more settled.

Multiple armour layers? So my characters will need some padding to go under that chainmail hulbrek?

What about a blunt weapon hitting fexible armour like chain mail. What would happen in Armok?

yeah, you can layer as you like, but it wouldn't do chain very well now.  I need to do more fussing about with the way slashing is changed to bludgeoning damage before that works right.  I'm not going to worry about these kind of details until the combat release...  whenever that is...

only a few things left to do.  projectiles aren't very good, but the super bugs are gone, to my knowledge
