So guys, I was thinking. Should we continue this, or should I do a Let's Play of Cortex Command? If we do a Let's Play I'll let you guys customize the bunker and place the guys, then do updates, after which you can tell me what to order and stuff.

Yes.
And yes, digging has been broken since... build 20, I think... pretty much when they fixed all the others, they broke digging. To have the AI dig, make a join the dot (dots of goto commands) puzzle through all the areas you want it to dig through (NOTE: The AI cannot dig up at an angle of 45 degrees or more) Make sure the dots are close together enough that the AI does not try to go via the surface. Because yes, the surface is either 1) Boring or 2) Rained on by thousands of falling dropships

Actually I haven't played CC in a while... I can remember that the latest build was CRAZY on account of adding a bazzilion new vannila items which were exceedingly unbalanced (and unnecessary)
Aaaanyway, I support whatever. CC for the win. Or atleast the rocket acrobatics and the dropship full of frag grenades.

Oh hell no.
Although there are better means of doing it. Take a couple of mods, one for a tiny rocket, and one with nice balanced explosives (There's a shield mod with C4, very nice) and you can make lovely craters.
Of course, you could do the same with one of the many bomb mods, but that's not half as fun. I don't even install those kind of mods.
