I've read the "Ban Comic Sans" website and an interview or two, and it's not like they're serious about actually banning it. It's a tongue-in-cheek thing. They're just trying to get people to pay attention to it.

May I suggest Frutiger Condensed? The two vintages have quite complimentary aromas and tastes.

Really, I prefer fixedsys or Times new roman, but I have to do extra stuff for that so I normally just use the default.

I propose that we immediately switch to using a 1 by 8 pixel line for each character font.
The characters should be direct representations of the binary number encoding them, most significant bit first.

It should be the default font of Dwarf Fortress.
(so wait, is that a GCS, or the left half of a goblin and the right half of a tree? What is that anyway, I can't make out the pixels? OMG IT'S A DRAGON! I need to study up on my font-skills so I can see it before it starts burning everything...)
If you thought it was hard to understand at a glance before...


Optionally, use 2x4 so there can be row confusion along with the column confusion.
