Practical suggestion: Naming soldiers based on role and stats.

I use a system where I assign basic roles to soldiers as well as listing their high stats. Things like Sniper-AF to designate that a sniper-role character as high Action points and Firing accuracy. Or Grunt-BT to designate a meatshield who's got high bravery and throwing skill (but not a lot else)

Helps in figuring how what to give who and who to send where. Grunts usually did the bulk of the dangerous exploration and were pretty much every soldier without good Action Points, Reaction, Strength, or Firing Accuracy. Snipers had high accuracy, Scouts had high Action points and Reaction, and Heavy (weapons) had high Strength.

I also had a Medic or two who had high Action Points and Bravery who's job was to run around and heal injured soldiers once I had a medpack.

I'd like to offer a piece of very useful advice for the next mission: Sell the heavy cannon, and buy a few autocannons with incendiary ammo.
