I don't know how they do those ninja rope tricks, it's amazing.  I played an online game before and I got destroyed.  You might as well hide under the ground like the mole you are.  Dark Sider, whatever.

Worms World Party is a fantastic game. I'm not sure why you'd play Armageddon over that one...they're the same game, only WWP has more optional game modes to play with. Like the super ninja rope one, which is basically essential.

I don't like any twitch action games.  I rather play a TTS or DF.  Great fun.  Anybody else like The Worms series before it went 3D?

I love Worms.

Worms 3D isn't a bad game, just different. I enjoyed Worms 3D just as much as Worms 2(I can't believe they took out the Hand of Death in Armageddon!)
Playing multiplayer was better in the 2D ones, but the missions were better in Worms 3D in my opinion.

I only have Worms 3D in terms of the 3D ones, so my opinion is based on this.

When I got Worms 3D it was loaded with countless bugs, it would crash atleast 5 times a day.  Could of just been my copy.  Meh.

I'm still waiting for a modern Worms game. I've played pretty much all of them so far. Still suck balls with grenades.

Gamecube version.  There was another bug that wasn't game breaking, but annoying.  Sometimes the worms heads would stretch off the top of the screen.  It was hilarious at first, but got annoying fast.

There are a couple of good Open Source Worms clones out there, if you take the time to look them up.

The Freegamer blog has a recent post that covers two of them, I think.

Worms is amazing. I still play World Party when im bored.

My pet peeve? People only looking at the graphics. Anyone ever played Disgaea: Hour of Darkness? Great game. The fact that it was isometric, a JSRPG, and had sprite based graphics turned so many people off from one of the most awesome games ever. Same thing with Crysis, which is more of a computer test/sandbox fighter and shooter than it is a game.

Disgaea is godly, hands down.

Another peeve for me is people who consider FPS the best games that ever existed, and every other type of game sucks.

FPS games get boring quick for me, it seems that these people just like the games because of OMGZPURTYGFX!!

Pahh.

I dont mind FPSes, i just dont care what graphics they have. Its gameplay first, good graphics are just a bonus.

Exactly.

Hell, I consider music above graphics.

Disgaea has some kicking music. Specially Invasion From Within.

It needs to be linked to, there's no way around it.

Someone complained, but I think it's really great how the characters talked about the game mechanics in FF8 as though they were the laws of nature. There's Seifer wanting to hog the Exp, the junctions being referred to as creatures and being prominent to the plot, the run feature being explicitly told to you as it should be used, Selphie trying to heal the little lion thing when in Jail, and a bunch of other things. It made the world they were in feel less fake by extension of no one treating the world as fake, because what they're perceiving and what you're perceiving are the same thing.

Mostly, anyway.

On a similar note (spoiler warning, btw), Knights of the Old Republic 2 had the plot hinging on the fact that the player character has the ability to drain others through the Force and draw sustenance and power from death... which sounds really odd, especially when a light-sided character is told this to his face, until you realize that what they're really talking about is the classsic RPG gameplay mechanic of killing stuff in order to gain experience points in order to level up in order to become stronger, which has of course been in play the entire time.
A stroke of pure brilliance, IMO.
